Request Data Deletion

Permanently delete your Listimo account and personal data.

We're sorry to see you go. Use the options below to request deletion of your account and associated data. Read the details so you know what will be removed and what we may need to keep for legal reasons.

What we delete

When your deletion request is completed, we will permanently remove:

  • Your account profile (email, username).

  • All lists, tasks/items, and task-level chats you created.

  • Files and images uploaded by you (subject to any configured expiry behavior).

  • Shared list links that are under your ownership — collaborators will lose access.

Important: Some records (for example billing receipts or limited logs) may be retained for legal, tax, or accounting reasons and will be retained only for the period required by law.

How to request deletion

Send an email to:

Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request and include the email address associated with your Listimo account. We may reply asking for identity verification (e.g., a confirmation link or short security question).

Verification & security checks

To protect accounts from unauthorized deletion, we might perform one or more of the following verification steps:

  • Send a confirmation email to the account email address with a deletion confirmation link.

  • Ask you to sign in and confirm deletion from within the app.

  • Request limited information to verify account ownership (e.g., recent subscription email, username).

We will never ask for full payment card numbers or sensitive authentication data via email.

Processing time

We typically process deletion requests within 30 days of successful verification. Some requests may take longer if additional review is required or if legal obligations apply.

Once deletion is complete, we will send a confirmation email. After completion, your data cannot be recovered.

What we may keep (limited exceptions)

Even after deletion, we may retain certain information when required or permitted by law:

  • Transaction or billing records for tax and accounting purposes.

  • Logs required for fraud detection, security, or legal compliance (kept in aggregated or redacted form where possible).

  • Backup copies for a short, limited period; such backups are subject to our security safeguards and will be purged according to our retention schedule.

Shared data & collaborators

If you created or own lists shared with other users, deleting your account may remove those lists for collaborators. We recommend:

  • Transferring ownership of shared lists to another collaborator before deleting your account, if you want collaborators to retain access.

  • Exporting any content you want to keep (see below) prior to deletion.

Exporting your data

Before requesting deletion, you can request an export of your data (lists, tasks/items, and chats). To request an export:

  • Email support@listimo.example with the subject Data Export Request.

Export requests are typically processed within 7-14 days and will be delivered via a secure download link.
